Welcome to The Gamer Ping. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, games alert system, and email notification services. By registering an account or accessing the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The Gamer Ping provides users with custom, automated email notifications regarding video game status updates, release date changes, new trailers, and platform expansions. We aggregate metadata and gaming schedules from public gaming platforms and APIs.

2. Accuracy and Disclaimers

We rely entirely on third-party APIs (including the Internet Game Database - IGDB) to deliver our gaming updates. Video game developers and publishers frequently alter release dates and schedules without notice. Consequently:

  • We do not guarantee the 100% accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of notifications.
  • We are not responsible for any emails that are delayed, marked as spam, or not delivered due to your inbox service configurations.
  • Our service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

3. Accounts and Trials

To use most features, you must register a verified email address. Each individual user is strictly limited to one (1) free trial period. We enforce email normalization (stripping dot symbols and plus-address routing tags) to monitor and prevent abuse. Creating duplicate accounts to exploit multiple trials will result in immediate termination of your access.

4. Pro Subscription Plans

Certain limits apply to Free accounts. Upgrading to a Pro subscription unlocks expanded limits (such as daily, weekly, or immediate alert checks). Pro billing is processed automatically via our secure payment processor. You are responsible for maintaining valid payment credentials.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Gamer Ping and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of or inability to use the service.

Privacy Policy

At The Gamer Ping, we respect your privacy. This policy outlines what data we collect, how it is processed, and your rights concerning your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: We collect your email address, display name, and authentication tokens when you register or sign in using email credentials or social providers.
  • Alert Preferences: We store the configuration of your custom alerts, including selected games, target platforms, chosen event categories, and dispatch frequencies.
  • Billing Data: For Pro upgrades, all payment information is collected and processed directly by our merchant partners. We do not store or transmit credit card details on our own servers.

2. How We Use Data

We collect and process your information solely to provide and improve the alert service. We use your email to send the alerts you configure, verify your account, and manage subscription notices. We do not sell, rent, or distribute your contact info or search history to advertisers or third parties.

3. Third-Party Subprocessors

To deliver a robust service, we integrate with trusted third-party providers:

  • Supabase: For identity verification and database hosting.
  • Resend: For dispatching system emails and configured gaming notifications.
  • Stripe / Lemon Squeezy: For processing secure payment checks and subscription transactions.

4. Your Rights and Deletion

You hold full rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal details. You can request permanent account deletion through our contact details below. Doing so will permanently wipe your profile and delete all associated alert configurations.

Refund Policy

Thank you for subscribing to The Gamer Ping Pro. We want to ensure a fair and transparent payment experience.

1. 14-Day Refund Guarantee

If you upgrade to our Pro subscription plan and decide the service does not meet your needs, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase date. To request a refund, please contact support with your registration email.

2. Cancellations

You may cancel your recurring subscription at any time via your Settings page. Upon cancellation, your account will remain active at the Pro tier until the end of your current prepaid billing cycle. No further renewals will be charged.

3. Non-refundable Circumstances

Refund requests received after 14 days from the date of billing cannot be processed. Similarly, no partial or prorated refunds are offered for mid-cycle cancellations once the initial 14-day grace period has passed.
